Da jeg læste om lægernes nødråb, og der blev søgt en endometriosepatient med lang ventetid, kunne jeg ikke holde mund.
Derfor blev jeg i mandags interviewet af journalister fra DR, og det resulterede i indslag TV, radio og online, som er blevet vist i dag. Jeg er meget glad for. at jeg fik muligheden for at deltage i debatten på vegne af medpatienter.

Morgenvækning
I mandags havde jeg besøg fra DR, da jeg havde meldt mig på banen som endometriosepatient med lang ventetid, før jeg kan få behandling for mine tiltagende endometriosesmerter. Jeg fik en tid ved speciallæge med 6 måneders ventetid
I den ventetid bliver jeg symptom-behandlet og er nu indehaver at et omfattende apotek i køkkenet.
Jeg vågnede kl. 6 i morges til beskeder og notifikationer, nyheden havde ramt Danmark. Og det har fortsat hele dagen, hvor jeg har modtaget en masse søde kommentarer og hilsner.
Det er et sprængfarligt emne, så jeg var spændt på reaktionerne. Men det har kun været positivt.
Jeg håber, at lægerne får råbt politikerne op, så de kan få lavet nogle ændringer, der passer til alle.
Min bevæggrund til at deltage i interviewet er, at jeg ønsker, man ser mere på mennesket end på diagnosen.
Det bør ikke være navnet på diagnosen, der afgør, hvor hurtigt en patient behandles.
Men derimod bør det være den enkelte patients behov, der er afgørende.

Det startede som nævnt tidligere kl. 6 i morges, da DR.DK udgav dagens første artikel.

Nødråbet er direkte henvendt til sundhedsminister Sophie Løhde (V) og kommer nu for at sikre, at sundhedsvæsenet udnytter de begrænsede ressourcer bedst muligt, forklarer Susanne Axelsen, formand for Lægevidenskabelige Selskaber.
Som det er i dag, har politikerne fastsat lovbestemte ventetider i kræftbehandlingen, som kaldes de maksimale ventetider.
De er afgørende, når det kommer til behandlingen af aggressiv kræft, men de er unødvendige, når det kommer til langsomt voksende kræft, mener Susanne Axelsen.
Det går ud over kræftpatienterne, fordi det ikke er alle, der har en kræfttype, som skal behandles nu og her. Men det rammer også patienter uden en kræftdiagnose. De kan være lige så syge som dem, der har kræft, siger hun.

Fem centrale pointer: Sådan vil læger ændre kræftbehandlingen øjeblikkeligt
Tilgangen til behandling af kræft skal fundamentalt ændres, når virkeligheden på landets hospitaler er presset, samtidig med at der er udsigt til et stigende antal kræftpatienter.
Det giver ikke mening, at alle kræftpatienter udredes lige hurtigt, og derfor skal patienterne i fremtiden behandles efter behov – ikke efter diagnose.
Alt sammen for både at undgå unødige forløb for kræftpatienter og ikke mindst frigøre hænder på hospitalerne, så der også er tid til at behandle patienter, som ikke har kræft.
Her er de fem vigtigste pointer fra lægerne:
- Kræftbehandlingens tidskrav skal lempes
- Andre sygdomme end kræft skal også have plads
- Ret til time-out i behandlingen
- Mere fokus på behandling i livets sidste tid
- Hurtige prøvesvar – men ikke for alle

Ekspert om fælles nødråb fra læger: De har en pointe
Lægerne har en pointe, fordi vi i mange år har haft et regime, hvor kræftpatienter har flere rettigheder end andre patienter. Derfor skal vi kigge lidt mere indgående på, hvilke kriterier der skal være for at få adgang til hurtig behandling, siger Dorte Gyrd-Hansen er professor i sundhedsøkonomi ved Syddansk Universitet.
Det nye nødråb, hvor lægerne i samlet flok opfordrer til øjeblikkelig handling, bør veje ekstra tungt, vurderer Dorte Gyrd-Hansen. Det må gøre ekstra indtryk på sundhedsministeren, fordi det kommer fra en samlet lægestand. Det er også et udtryk for, at der er en bred erkendelse i sundhedsvæsenet af, at der er behov for øget prioritering, siger hun.
I nødråbet fra Lægevidenskabelige Selskaber gør formand Susanne Axelsen det klart, at der ikke er plads til uvisheden om, hvornår der bliver handlet, for sundhedsvæsenet er presset nu og her.
Vi kommer med det nu, fordi det er nu, det haster. Vi har et sundhedsvæsen, som har brug for, at der bliver givet den rette behandling til den rette tid til de rigtige patienter.
Radioavisen og morgenradio
Allerede kl. 6 gik det løs i Radioavisen på DR, og det blev også godt modtaget.
Kravene om hurtig behandling på kræftområdet har sat sundhedsvæsenet i en politisk spændetrøje, som gør det svært for lægerne at hjælpe alvorligt syge patienter. Sådan lyder det i dag i et fælles nødråb fra Lægevidenskabelige Selskaber, en paraplyorganisation for samtlige af landets speciallæger.
Derudover er jeg blevet fortalt, at det er blevet drøftet i midtjyllands morgenradio på P4.

Hvad så nu?
Jeg har nu givet mit bidrag til debatten, og jeg støtter lægernes opråb.
Det er ikke fordi, at jeg ønsker at komme foran i køen. Men jeg støtter lægernes ønske.
Der er brug for frihed til at kunne vurdere den enkelte patients behov frem for, at det er diagnosen der afgør det.
Der bør ikke være diagnoser, der får en forlomme frem for andre. De fremskridt der er kommet inden for forskning, og den viden der findes i dag ude på hospitalerne, bør vægte tungt. Fremfor at lægerne fortsat skal følge nogle lovgivne retningslinjer, der er 15 år gamle.
